Fulham 1 v 0 Everton          by Dave Crossland

Total contrast to the previous Wednesday night when the boys in Blue ran themselves into the ground against Fiorentina. Not only did we claw back a two goal deficit but we showed the rest of England and Europe how we have progressed over the past few years. I was proud of my team on Wednesday night even though we went out on penalties.

I did not expect much at Fulham and I wasn’t disappointed either, both teams were poor to say the least. We have not won there for donkeys years and we may not have to go there again next year. What was disappointing was the attitude from certain blues fans toward the team. I realise that we are all entitled to our opinions but look at the way we have come on. We have more points now than when we finished forth with eight games still to go.

David Moyes is playing home grown players and secured long term contracts on our more senior and influential players, where other teams are buying for now and not the future. With a bit of luck Moyes will sign a contract to secure his future with the blues, that is the biggest deal Everton will have secured in recent years if they get his name on a new contract. Bigger than any player contract.

Next year is a big ask to improve on this year, and our input as supporters is vital, so lets get behind the Blues, as most of us do because encouragement gets quicker results than abuse.

Come on you Blues.
