John Heitinga's
first Premier League season with Everton may
have come to a premature end after the
defender was diagnosed with a possible
hairline fracture of the ankle. The Blues'
26-year-old summer signing from Club
Atlético de Madrid was injured playing
against Aston Villa FC on 14 April. "Johnny
Heitinga has quite a bad injury," said
Everton manager David Moyes. "There might be
a very slight hairline fracture." Although
Heitinga is expected to miss Everton's final
three Premier League games, he "will be
fine" to represent the Netherlands at the
FIFA World Cup, according to Moyes. |
